Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta refused to answer a question about the Premier League title race with Liverpool as he stormed out of a live TV interview.

Arsenal have been battling Liverpool in the Premier League title race this season, but Arteta's side are now 15 points behind Arne Slot's side after three games without a win and have all but handed the trophy to the Merseyside club. Following Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Manchester United, Arteta was asked whether the title is now out of reach for his side, and stormed out of the interview while blatantly refusing to give an answer.

After Arsenal's draw with Manchester United, Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison questioned Arteta if he had any regrets about the Gunners not signing a striker in January. Arteta dismissed the claim and said: "No, no. It's not about that," before attempting to walk out of the interview.

Davison then attempted to stop Arteta and said, "Mikel – one more? I have to ask you about the title race because it's 15 points now. Is that too much?" Arteta looked visibly angry and abruptly ended the interview as he brushed past Davison.

Before the question about the Premier League title race and his abrupt exit, Arteta already seemed to be infuriated. The Basque coach was asked if he could excuse the players for being unable to beat a rather underwhelming Manchester United side. Arteta said: "I will defend my players all the time because the will to win, there is no question about that. But in those moments, we have to be better as a team. That's it."
