AC Milan have advanced to the next round of the Coppa Italia after an absolute stomping against Serie B side Sassuolo, defeating them 6-1 Tuesday evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

U.S. internationals Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah logged 45 minutes each, being subbed on at halftime after Milan went into the break with a 4-0 lead.

Winger Samuel Chukwueze scored a brace inside the opening 21 minutes, while midfielder Tijani Reijnders bagged an effort in the 17th minute as well. Forward Rafael Leao added their fourth in the 23rd minute to round out the first 45 minutes.

Come the second half, defender Davide Calabria added their fifth, while striker Tammy Abraham bagged the sixth in the 62nd minute.

Sassuolo's lone effort arrived in the 59th minute through strike Samuele Mulattieri.

Tuesday marked Milan's largest win of the 2024-25 season across all competitions. Previously, it had been a 4-0 victory over Venezia in September, where Pulisic scored a penalty en route to victory.
