Various landing spots for Pogba have been speculated on, from MLS to the Saudi Pro League, with a return to English football seemingly being ruled out. That is because United have no interest in taking a gamble on the 32-year-old’s fitness.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has said in an update on his official : “We have seen stories recently about Pogba returning to Man United, but my information is there is nothing to it. I am not aware of any negotiations between Pogba and United. I have nothing concrete on this, but I will let you know if that changes.

“Man United are heading in a different direction. They are focused on investing in young and talented players like Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven. As far as I know, Pogba is currently a free agent and available to sign for any club whenever he chooses.”
