The youngster's sudden rise in form has left Blues captain Reece James in awe of the former City star as he claimed that the English attacker is already among the top players in the world. The 22-year-old's on-field performance has been duly recognised by the Premier League as he has been nominated for this year's Premier League Player of the Season award.

Speaking to , James said, "Cole Palmer is one of the best in the world, I think personally. At City, he didn't play as much as he would like but he has come here and taken the chance with both hands."
